Christi Wiehahn, Back on the block
Christi Wiehahn is tough! After tragically losing his brother Inus to a car accident he himself almost died in a motorbike accident which nearly cost him his arm. After a long recovery period Christi is back on board and has just returned from a 3 month skate mission in Portugal.

es Tour, The Great Escape
The European tour of the international E’s team was named « The Great E’scape » inreference to the famous film in which Steve McQueen and his accomplices organise a massive escape of the Stalag Luft II prisoner camp. An escape which ends up being quite unsuccessful.

Element Tour, One for one under the african sun
During the beginning of October we were set to welcome a team of travelers from TOMS shoes, and our colleagues from Element USA. It was the beginning of the Element’TOMS board and shoe drop. It’s been a year ’or more’ in the planning from our side and apparently 2 years.

Derik Du Toit, Rip
I knew a guy who never played by the rules, who never followed the crowd, and who never said no to a good time. This guy is our good friend Derik Du Toit. He is our friend because Derik was someone who made and kept friends where ever he went.

When I started skating just the thought of a visiting pro would be like
walking with a prophet. Now Tony Hawk, isn’t he supposed to be one of the most

Eurovision, London Barcelona Basque in Reverse

Via The Backroads
Five skateboarders along with four bmxers and one filmer embarked on a 25 day adventure
that took us through South Africa, Swaziland and Mozambique. Not only did we get to
skate new spots, we also met the most open-minded people along the way.

First off it’s made out of crete, f#@kin rockin! It has an assortment of transition, stairs,
ledges, banks, bowls, rails, manny pads, it’s free, on the beach and has lights that stay on
all night. It’s going to play a huge part in growing skateboarding scen in Richards Bay.

48 Hours with Kanya Spani
Gav Scott and myself spent a weekend with him a few weeks back skating the streets of Jozi
and PT finding out what goes down in weekend skating with Kanya. So on Sat everyone was
hooking up at LBG’s at 11:00 to warm up and get into the day.

Element Tour - Last of the Mustachios
On Dec the 10th I left my house in the morning headed to the airport to embark
on a 2 week Element Tour starting in DBN going through to CT and ending in George.
For the next 2 weeks we would drive 6000 km in search of new spots.

The idea behind the whole high Fives & Heel Bruises tour was to meet up with all.
The different local skatecrews we knew from jozi, pretoria and durban, and everyone
in between, who was looking to join pushing wood and kicking sticks.

Skobbejak - The Making of "Plankie Plankie"
AWE is the most progress we have made in filming, editing and friendships.
We started out with 3 people and a high-8 camera and today we got the VX and we can drive
anywhere in the country and hook up with people through skateboarding.
