When I started skating there always seemed to be this crappy vibe between skaters from different parts of the country. I never understood it. I used to be scared to go skate JHB but never knew why. And as me and Joubert’s skating and horizons broadened, this vibe seemed to disappear. Guess we were just stuck in an older generations tunnel vision.Now it s like an untold secret mission to get everyone down with each other and really enjoy skateboarding without any limitations from shit, like politics. If you ain’t a doos, we want to go skate. AWE is the most progress we have made in filming, editing and friendships. We started out with 3 people and a high-8 camera and today we got the VX and we can drive anywhere in the country and hook up with people we know through skateboarding. How cool is that!!!
