Difficulty: Intermediate
To Begin: It’s best to fi rst learn nollie flips and frontside nollies.
Once you got those down you can start putting the two together to learn frontside nollie fl ips.
Set up: Roll up to whatever you planning to do this down or over with your feet set up for nollie flip. Have your shoulders open to go frontside.
Pop: Start rotating your shoulders frontside as you pop your nose out in front of you like a frontside nollie.
Flip: Flip your board with your back foot as you would a nollie fl ip but do this while turning
frontside. Try keep your weight over your board by ‘jumping into’ your fl ip like you would a regular kick flip.
Catch: Catch your board with your front foot (the one you popped with) when you hit about 90 degrees and turn the rest out in the air.
Land: You’ll probably first learn these on flat ground so it will help to land a bit over your nose and turn it round to fakie that way. Once you take them down or over things you’ll have to catch them good, turn them all the way in the air, and land 4 down and roll away fakie. |
