Difficulty: Twinkle Toe

To Begin: Learn regular tailslides.

Set up: Roll up parallel to the ledge or whatever you have chosen this to do on. Pop your tail turning your shoulders and hips 900 landing with your tail over the ledge. Make sure you are sitting solid on the tailslide by locking your baseplate against the edge of the ledge. Make sure you are also standing up and over yourtail and also slightly leaning back to make sure you get a good slide. (See frame 5)

270 pop out: Now ollieing out of a tailslide is slightly different than that of a regular ollie. When you are nearing the end of your slide or end of the ledge dip the nose of your board down as much as possible in order to get a good sweep up when popping out. Pop as hard as possible turning your shoulders and hips 270 and hopefully the rest of you will follow. (See frames 7-10)

Landing: Make sure that you spin a full 270 or slightly less otherwise you could shoot out and pancake your teeth into the ground, so get a good spin. Your weight should be centered over the back bolts while landing and if you have kept your shoulders turning you should ride away forwards, tailslide 270 accomplished. (See frame 12)

No tic tac outs!
